Vitrification

Cryotop® / Cryotop® US

Not just the device with the best proven results on the market, also the one with the best user experience.

Developed and manufactured in Japan, the Cryotop® allows to optimize your routine and results to the maximum.

Cryotop® allows you to achieve the best clinical results. Its unparalleled survival rates for oocytes and embryos, at every stage of development, have contributed to bringing hundreds of thousands of healthy babies into the world since its creation.

Key Features

  • Wider sheet for an easy loading of the specimens on the straw
  • Thin strip to allow high temperature exposure to specimens during vitrification and thawing
  • Diamond tip for an easy insertion into the cover straw
  • Identification marks to define the side where specimens should be loaded for quick location of the cryopreserved samples during thawing
  • Allows up to 4 specimens to be loaded per device

Cryotop® US

Cryotop® US is a vitrification device exclusive for the U.S. market. Its design incorporates all of the benefits of the original Cryotop® with an external cover that hermetically seals the Cryotop® US tip with weight, to prevent floating in liquid nitrogen.

The Cryotop® Scoop, a single piece mold with a slightly thicker tip and rounded “shovel” design, is also available in the US market.

Cryotop® Closed System

Cryotop® SC and Cryotop® CL allow the device to be sealed within an outer straw. The sealed protocol ensures success during vitrification guaranteeing, at the same time, that the specimens and liquid nitrogen do not come into direct contact.

Cryotop® SC and Cryotop® CL are available in selected countries.

Highest Cooling and Warming Rates on the Market

Cooling and warming rates are essential parameters for the success of vitrification and thawing processes. These parameters, especially the warming ones, have a huge impact in specimens survival rates.

The Cryotop® vitrification device ensures a very high cooling and warming rates resulting into better survival and live birth rates.

This is achieved thanks to the design of the Cryotop®, with its characteristic thin strip, the use of small volumes surrounding the specimen, and the design of the vitrification and thawing protocols that allow excellent heat exchanges between the specimen and the LN2/Warming Media.

Large storage capacity

Optimizing space in the nitrogen tanks and choosing the most appropriate vitrification device, without compromising the viability of the samples, is one of the major challenges for clinics.

Cryotop® maximizes storage capacity and allows loading up to 4 oocytes without affecting the survival or reproductive potential of any of them.

Allowing multiple vitrifications per device, in addition to the small size of the Cryotop®, has made it the most versatile and widely used vitrification device in the world.
